As i understand it, the main feature your system offers that isn't included by default in other CMS systems is management of torrents & downloads.
Maybe you have an edge there, but for the rest Diferior is lacking a lot of features that are common in current CMS systems. My first reaction is why not develop a plugin with this functionality for a popular CMS system such as phpBB instead of doing everything from scratch and having to reinvent the wheel?
As it is now the forum lacks many things, the most obvious being : - no quote buttons under each post... - no WYSIWIG post editor (though i see the downloads and blogging modules have some basic buttons included) / meanwhile a list of supported BBCodes would do...
Other features you might want to add to leverage the functionality of current systems : buttons to integrate streaming audio, videos & flash games, buttons to change font and background colors (transparency included), alignment buttons (left, right, center & justify), superscript & subscript buttons, custom characters button (euro, copyright, greek letters, etc...), spellchecker

All better known CMSes were under development for years. Diferior is less than 6 months old at the moment. It is only natural that I could not include every little feature.
I actually coded the forum as you see it now in a single evening. I would not call Diferior forums a selling point of CMS, rather a feature. Of course I am working hard on improving it.
I know html & bbcode permit to do all these things and more, the point is the average user isn't going to use those features unless it's made dead simple for him i.e. through buttons.
About the spellchecker, being multilingual shouldn't prevent it's usefullness, though i understand it may be difficult to implement this on your own. However there's probably an opensource sofware available that you could tap into for that feature (i know of a few that run on linux and one on windows).

Thing is, average user will rarely ever need to use these bbcodes. Most common ones are already available from a single button click and including more would cause unnecessary clutter, thus decreasing user-friendliness.
I will consider adding an optional TinyMCE integration. That should solve most of your concerns.
From my experience with the forums i visit or administrate, i can tell you the users definitely use the features i mentioned on a regular basic when they are available as buttons. Indeed it adds some clutter to the post's editor, but that's useful clutter permitting them to better express their creativity.
Glad you consider adding TinyMCE integration, it does indeed seem to provide most if not all those features (there's even a multilingual spellchecker available in the contributed plugins) ... i don't know if it handles transparency though.
There is no doubt in this that we are now in that kind of world where wer come across different and strange things happening in this world. Innovation is everywhere, personally I am also a fan of innovation, no matter in studies, technologies, science, beauty, fashion (but it should be good for human kind an world). there are alot of courses. In recent past it was just ok to get a master degree in any of the running field and set your career we are much more into virtual studies and doing all those stuffs where we can explore and learn more.. a lot certifications introduced by Microsoft, Cisco and other international certifications in which you can study and get a good career too. I am so happy to be part of this revolutionary field and do suggest you too. because at the end „it always up to you to decide“...thanks!! testking 642-813 | testking 642-832 | testking 642-873 | testking 642-902 | testking 642-974 | testking 642-979 | testking 642-982 | testking 642-983 | testking 646-046 | testking 646-205 |
I've been looking at one of these for a while now and can't help but dream of pulling this out when you're paying for something and the cashier drools at the case and gives you her number! convert mp4 to mp3 MacFriend of mine has a 3GS and his upgrade is in April of 2012.

integrate streaming audio, videos & flash games
These can be posted in blog posts with HTML enabled.
change font and background colors
Didn't think about background colors, thanks for the suggestion.
alignment buttons, superscript & subscript
I'll make a note of these aswell.
custom characters button (euro, copyright, greek letters, etc...)
© ® , Other ASCII symbols are also supported - &#xxx;
spellchecker
No point in having a builtin one as Diferior is designed to be multilanguage.
