I use now Diferior mainly as a blog platform, and i'm thinking to pass to wordpress.
The fact is, i like Diferior, because it's different. Everybody uses now wordpress, and i don't like being like everybody
I haven't used that much the torrent side of diferior, i found it kindda slow, and no documentation how to use external tracker.
some wishlist:
- how can i use external trackers ? - some voting plugin... or better, a bridge or something to have wordpress plugins work on Diferior... in that way, you will have a strong blog application and a nice tracker embedded. - username on comments does not support „space“ chars... many users told me that they quit commenting, because the validation rules are not displayed, and after they comment, something was wrong, and the comment was lost when they go „back“ on browser. - the captcha fonts are small, sometimes are unreadable, even when i change the background... - image formating is non existing... like, if I post a img tag, if the image is bigger that 640x480, it will mess the tables... some image slideshow or thumbnail plugin will be nice. - add some color... on the top side, put a banner/image that user can change, and have over it the search, register, login, sitename fields... - let user change the colors of the theme, i think it's not that hard to have some input values for background, textbox, blocks, etc... changes that will affect the css
Don't forget, if you want Diferior to be a major app in the business, you must invest time in it, by developing, comunicating with the users, and so on...
you know, with great power, comes great responsability, and after all, even if it's open source, you will be the one that will take the benefits from developing a great app.

I haven't used that much the torrent side of diferior, i found it kindda slow, and no documentation how to use external tracker. What do you mean by 'slow'? The code is pretty optimized and efficient, if that's what you are talking about.
- how can i use external trackers ? It's pretty easy actually: Admin > Downloads > Torrent downloads > Other tracker > Save That's it.

Then you throw it out to Sprint so now you have an additional 50 million users that have access to it... blu-ray to iPad MacMac-like light when the camera is in use would be useful.
